MISSING: Sarah Routledge from Bootle

Police are appealing for information to find a woman from Bootle who was last seen on Friday.

35-year-old Sarah Routledge was last seen at 1.45pm on Friday afternoon at the junction of Merton Road and Stanley Road in Bootle.

Sarah is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, of slim build, with shoulder length blonde hair, and green eyes. When last seen, Sarah was wearing a grey bobble hat, a black coat and blue jeans with a rip in the knee.

She speaks with a Liverpool accent and is known in the Bootle and Southport areas.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing and we are increasingly concerned as to her wellbeing.

Two men arrested following seizure of suspected stolen quad bike in Formby

Police have arrested two men and seized a suspected stolen quad bike following an incident in Formby the early hours of this morning, Thursday 7 February.

At around 1.05am, officers supported by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) were called to Formby to reports of a suspected stolen Honda quad bike being ridden in the area.

Following enquiries, local policing and Matrix officers attended an address in Ryeground Lane, detained two men and seized the quad bike.

A 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Formby, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and taken to a police station for questioning.

The bike is believed to have been stolen from the Ainsdale area earlier in February and will be reunited with its rightful owner.

Appeal for the next of kin of 68 year old John Rippington

We are appealing for help in tracing the next of kin of a 68-year-old man who died at the Dovehaven Care Home, Alexandra Road, Southport.

John Rippington passed away on Saturday, 22 December 2018. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

CCTV images released following theft in Aintree Retail Park

Police are issuing CCTV images of two people who may have information to assist our enquiries into a theft from a shop in Aintree.

At around 1pm on Saturday, 12 January two offenders entered the Mothercare shop in Aintree Retail Park and took a blue Silver Cross pram worth a significant amount of money. The matter is being investigated and we would appeal to anyone with information to come forward and help us identify those responsible.

Constable Helen Davies said: “We are keen to speak to the two males pictured who we believe may have information to assist. If you know who they are, please do get in touch.

“We would like to reassure the business community that we take these matters seriously and we will do all we can to act on the information received and identify those responsible.”

MISSING: Gerald Brown from Litherland

Police are appealing for help in finding a 57-year-old man from Litherland who is missing from home.

Gerald Brown was last seen outside the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool city centre on Monday 28 January and extensive enquiries have been ongoing to locate him since.

Gerald is described as being white, 5ft 4in tall, bald and of stocky build. He also has a tattoo on his right arm.

When he was last seen, Gerald was wearing a grey cap, blue jeans, a blue polo shirt and a brown jacket.

It is believed Gerald may have travelled to Blackpool and Scotland.
