Sefton’s walk-through COVID test sites will be open over Christmas & New Year
Sefton’s four local walk-in COVID-19 test centres for people with COVID symptoms, where you can turn up and get a PCR test, will be open from 10am to 2pm on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
They are open from 8am to 6pm every other day.

The four local test centres are located at:
- Bootle Town Hall, L20 7AA
- Crosby Library Car Park, Haigh Road, L22 OLQ
- Netherton Activity Centre, Glovers Lane, L30 3TL
- Southport Town Hall, PR8 1DA
Without symptoms
Test sites for people with no symptoms, which also offer assisted testing and collection of home test kits are located at:
- Bootle Town Hall
- The Strand
- Dunes, Southport
will be open normal hours apart from
- Christmas Eve
- Tuesday 28th December
- Friday 31st December
- Bank Holiday Monday 3rd January
when they will be open from 10am to 4pm.
They will be closed on
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- Bank Holiday Monday 27th January
- New Year’s Day
- Sunday 2nd January
Main Symptoms?
The main symptoms we all need to look out for are a:
- high temperature;
- persistent cough;
- loss of taste or smell.
No symptoms?
Those of us without COVID-19 symptoms should be taking regular rapid lateral flow tests, particularly if we are meeting up with people from other households or attending indoor events in crowded spaces.

- visit any pharmacy to collect a weekly supply – get a collection QR code by using the online form.
