One-day closures for two Sefton Local COVID-19 Testing Sites

Local COVID-19 Testing Sites, at Netherton Activity Centre and Crosby Library will each be closed for one day this week while work to improve facilities is carried out.

The Netherton Activity Centre site will be closed for testing on Monday 18th October and the Crosby Library site will be closed on Tuesday 19th October.

However, the sites at Bootle and Southport Town Halls remain open as usual and a Mobile Testing Unit will be at Maghull Town Hall on Monday 18th and at the Esplanade Park and Ride in Southport on Tuesday 19th.

People can find out more about testing in Sefton and a link to Mobile Testing Unit dates at www.sefton.gov.uk/COVID-testing.

Sefton Council is still urging anyone who starts to show COVID symptoms of a high temperature, a new persistent cough or a loss of taste or smell, should book a PCR test by calling 119 or visiting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.

People with no symptoms who are out and about should continue taking free Lateral Flow Tests, which are available free from a wide range of local outlets including all Sefton pharmacies.

And, anyone who is offered their COVID-19 vaccination or booster should get the jab as soon as possible.
