Nightingale Song Update
Considering the latest government COVID-19 advice, A Nightingale’s Song will take place as originally planned.
As a precautionary matter, event organisers were waiting on updated government guidance and can now confirm the three-night light spectacular as part of Sefton’s Borough of Culture year will go ahead.
The three outdoor shows, from March 13-15 at Waterloo and Bootle Town Halls and The Atkinson, Southport, will still take place from 8pm each evening. People are asked to get there early and use public transport if possible.
Anyone planning to attend the shows should continue to take steps to reduce the spread of germs by catching your sneezes in a tissue, binning used tissues, then washing/sanitising your hands.
Following national guidance, anyone with a cough or a fever is asked to not attend any of the events and to self-isolate for 7 days.
Sefton Council continues to reassure residents that they are working closely with Public Health England, the NHS and all our health and care partners to prevent further spread of the virus.”
