Volunteers needed to help at fun run in memory of Nathan
Volunteers are needed to help out at a charity event in Crosby next week.
Volunteer Centre Sefton is seeking people to help staff a fun run that starts from Crosby Leisure Centre at 10am on Sunday September 9.
This is the second year that the run has taken place in memory of Nathan James Wilson. All proceeds raised will be donated to Papyrus, a suicide prevention charity for young people.
Volunteers are needed to run a raffle at the leisure centre, marshal the route and record runners’ times at the finishing line.
Rachael West, Volunteer and Citizenship Co-ordinator with Sefton CVS, commented: “Volunteering at one-off events like this is a great way to gain skills and experience if you can’t commit to something more regular.
“A fun run like this is also a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together in support of a very important cause.”
Anyone wishing to participate in the event can run or walk and take on a 5K or 10K challenge.
