Thousands of GCSE students across Sefton have now received their results following their recent exams.

Cllr John Joseph Kelly, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Safeguarding, said:

“We would like to send our congratulations to all of the the GCSE students who have had their results this week.

“While all of the data has not yet been released, provisional figures are very positive with 62.5% of students achieving grades 4 – 9 in English and Maths compared to the equivalent last year (grades A*-C) of 60%.

“For those students that didn’t receive the results they expected, we’ve put together some key links together and we wish everyone lots of luck in whatever they choose to do next.”
