Fun4Kids awarded Lottery funding

Fun 4 Kids in Netherton have celebrated in style at the L30 Community Centre after being awarded 4 years of Reaching Communities Lottery Funding, to build on the many strengths of the organisation and nurture future talent in the community.

The aims of Fun 4 Kids have always been to enable the community to become more engaged and connected, so local people can feel happier and less isolated. The new funding will ensure that local people have the opportunity to get involved and play an active part in their community, this may be through volunteering opportunities, or helping others and solving larger scale community problems together.

Fun 4 Kids hopes to help people living in Netherton the opportunity to develop themselves, giving people the chance to learn new thing,  help with upskilling and employment prospects, they also hope to promote healthier lifestyles to ensure people have the chance to become more active, and healthy.

Cllr Ian Moncur, Cabinet member for Health and Wellbeing for Sefton Council said,

“It’s wonderful for everybody from Fun 4 Kids and the whole Netherton community to have been awarded this funding, it will help them to expand of the amazing work that they do.”
